What's inside the head of a young kid who likes Radiohead, Vox Low, underground electronic music, and is an accomplished classically trained musician, multi-instrumentalist, and performer? A plethora of insight and knowledge. What shall be done with such gifts? Easy: Use a blender to combine every single influence amassed since childhood and end up making his/her/their own music.

Bobby Langfield, whose life story in a nutshell you have just read above, is the mastermind behind the brand-new UK-based Indie Dance project OBOST, and his debut EP is coming hot on NEIN Records at the dusk of the year. "I Don't Care For You" presents two interesting originals and two sturdy remixes made with love by none other than Fabrizio Mammarella and Tronik Youth (SXDNS050), the label honcho himself.

Premiered here, Maestro Mammarella's take of "I Don't Care For You" brings the original to the peak-time realm. The peculiar distortions and bouncing gait of the title track gave him necessary room to add his very own signature sonority with fatter and heavier elements which brought even more clout to the very first release of the aspiring artist.

Machine Cult, the Amsterdam-based electronic music platform hosted by Déandrah and Garçon Taupe, returns with the release party for Edition Three at OT301 (Amsterdam) on 29th November.

Machine Cult’s upcoming edition will feature a V.A. compilation with tracks by Garçon Taupe (featuring Hunter Complex), Acidic Male, Loradeniz, Déandrah, and Son of Sesh. At the release party, each artist will perform a DJ set, except Déandrah, who will be creating live visuals throughout the night. Note that while Hunter Complex won’t be playing, Vergaarbak will be stepping in for a special b2b set with Garçon Taupe.

Expect a night of powerful electronic music and immersive visuals, celebrating the cutting edge of underground sounds.

With the sensitive audacity that is so typical for the duo, Umami dissect the delicate space-time continuum of our everyday world and sew it back together into an entirely new reality that keeps morphing into ever new shapes with each of our dance moves. A sampled stream of thought seeps through the cracks between the rolling bass structure and the melodic frequencies of Psydon that are tuned to a maximum of synaptic stimula- tion. @greenlakeproject takes advantage of its legendary psychonautic navigation skills and their long distance groove to teleport this dance experience into a neon-colored world full of bubbling Acid fountains. With Obthor, Umami change into a somewhat lighter, more playful, but still pleasantly inebriated mode without losing the deep, hypnotic vibe that is the backbone of this EP.
