On The First Day… They Were Kittens is often cited as the greatest band you’ve never heard of and were notorious for their highly energetic and often chaotic live performances. The 2023 digital rerelease of their debut album, “Sick Bird and the SARS Falcon” is set up to precede a 2024 solo release from Michael Morrison under the stage name Mike Vorpal. The new album promises to be a radical departure from the music of On The First Day… They Were Kittens, while maintaining the same quality and sonic dynamics the band was known for.
