q. pls introduce yourself

>I’m Mim from MitamineLab, a contemporary sound archive and curatorial project from Mexico City, also a radio show. I’m an art historian/cultural manager and I currently have two jobs, as a studio manager and as a project manager.

q. is there a story behind the mix? how did it come together?

>I just tried to evoque the sensation of living at Mexico city, pretty eclectic and unpredictable. I truly believe that Mexico City is a land of dream where emotions are always running high.

q. in your opinion, what would be the ideal circumstances to enjoy your mix?

>You can enjoy it wherever and whenever you want, maybe in the morning while drinking a good coffee, or even in a sunny afternoon with the company of a good shot of mezcal.

q. describe a favourite object in your living room...

>Is not an object per se, but I love that my living room has a view to the garden.

q. are you working on any projects right now (music or not music)?

>Yeah, I’m working in some music and my first EP ever. Hope to have something ready soon :)

Melbourne DJ/producer with his own style of ethno-electronics. No carbon copy bullshit here. Released his debut 12" on ESP Institute and has since launched Home Loan Records to issue local greats Andras Fox, Total Control, Zanzibar Chanel and No Zu. His whole real estate agent persona is pure non-fiction - the industrious Ozone finds unutilized properties and converts them into creative studios and event spaces, including this broadcast location. Couldn't have done this without him.

A creature is born out of the ashes of human remains after a mass extinction event. Emerging into a new world where nothing else shares its consciousness, it assembles clues to its lineage through the drum, pitched instruments, and the human voice. Slowly accumulating more and more breakbeats over time, it goes through phases of discovery and learning before reaching an eventual cacophony – the overwhelming pain of knowing the fatal flaws which cause its ancestors’ demise. Eventually it reaches a gentle reconciliation, an understanding of its history with the courage to move forward in its own light in a grim new world.

AFTRMTH (Kyle Rogers) is a DJ and musicologist based in Brooklyn. Raised by jazz musicians, he came to dance music through the queer DIY scenes in 2010s NYC and Atlanta. Though his sets span genre and tempo, he has a particular affinity for the rhythmic experiments of jungle and drumfunk and the bassweight of dubstep. He is a graduate student at the NYU Department of Music.
