This winter I was lucky enough to be invited on tour with Excision (the main man behind Bass/Metal band Destroid). It was crazy! 120 000+ tickets, 65 shows, 2 buses, 2 transport trucks, lazers, snow machines, 3d mapped projections, 150 000 watts of pK sound and a motherfucking DINOSAUR on stage every night for 3 months. 

Wow.

One thing led to another and now this remix exists.

In other news: we asked fans to submit their 'most awesome' tracks to win guestlist and were SWAMPED in amazing music. It took a couple days, but we went through all 900+ submissions and made a blog post with all the top tracks. SERIOUS tunage! I promise you will find something new that you love. Trust me.

The genre bending, sub rattling, west coast bass slinging Chillage Records is back at it again with it’s 5th Installment of the Crunksauce compilation series. The Northern California based collective has been a fixture in the west coast bass music scene for more than half a decade bringing us delicious bass infused glitch hop, future beats, dubstep, trap and everything in between.

For the first time Chillage Records held open submissions for the Crunksauce compilation, inviting up and coming and established producers to submit their songs for a chance at a spot on the compilation, resulting in 19 tracks of bass heavy goodness from core Chillage members and many new faces adding their own flavor and style to the mix. Chillage Records will be releasing 3 tracks from the compilation a week for the next month a half so do yourself a favor and tune in below for all the bass heavy deliciousness coming your way!

After a successful 2015, Of The Trees returns for his third release on Gravitas Music and his first full length album, “Dream Atlas”. The New England native stays true to his style; effortlessly, he weaves together pure, strong compositions with subtle complexities throughout the free LP. Memorable melodies and familiar hip-hop rhythms mesh perfectly to create these 9 tracks, which feature collaborations with Esseks, The OriGinALz, and The Digital Connection, plus remixes from CloZee and Perkualt0r. 

The title track establishes a charming vibe as the start of the album, with delicate melody and a pleasing sampled atmosphere. Esseks lends his trademark wonky approach to “Business Tripping”, melting the two producer’s distinct stylings as one. Setting the bar for the most hype track on the album, “Kick Back” rumbles hard with it’s filtered alien babbling and intelligent beat structure. “Panama” tickles the ear with both intricate and smooth ingredients, while the inherently psychedelic “Puddled” playfully exhibits experimental ideas mingled atop heavy bass. CloZee’s remix of Dream Atlas showcases her graceful, international aesthetic which fits perfectly with the gentle harmony of the original. The seductive and smooth 6AM takes the mood down a notch, providing a bit of breathing room before Perkulat0r’s remix rounds out the album with a minimal yet luscious Trap affair.
