Recorded in and around the stations, trains and environs of the Yamanote Line, Tokyo in early 1999 for the mulltimedia exhibition "The 29 Stations of the Yamanote Line".

The exhibition at Ben's Cafe, Takadanobaba featured:

The sounds were recorded over a number of weeks at all stations on the line, on every stretch of track and in the areas surrounding each station.
