On Friday February 7 2014 as Dj Premier was in Detroit performing at Dilla Day, I was filling in for Premier on his Sirius/Xm radio show "Live From Headqcourterz". Being that it was what would have been J-Dilla's 40th birthday I did an all Dilla set in my second hour honoring the late great Producer/MC/DJ. 
James "Jay-Dee", "J-Dilla" Yancey died in 2006 at the young age of 32 from cardiac arrest after a long battle with a rare blood disease.... 

He was one of the music industry's most influential and respected hip-hop artists.

"I met Chiwoniso in Harare ( Zimbabwe) during the HIFA festival in 2006, I was immediately captured by her voice and her amazing stage presence. We met afterwards and had a chat about life and music, both left with a promise to make music together.  Few years later (2011) I was called back to perform in Harare again, Chi agreed to write the lyrics on two songs I was working on. The result was just a-m-a-z-i-n-g, when I discussed money she answered “I just would like you to play in my album next time..”  Miss you Chi   a xx
