DJ Michael van der Knoop, a native of Amsterdam, discovered his passion for music at a young age. In 1983, he received his first pair of Technics turntables and a Dateq mixer, marking the beginning of his journey in the world of DJing. Throughout the 80s and early 90s, he became a familiar presence at local parties, renowned venues in Amsterdam, and even ventured overseas.

After a hiatus of 12 years, a close friend persuaded Michael to return to the DJ scene for a momentous occasion - his 40th birthday celebration. Unable to resist the call, Michael embraced the opportunity. However, he recognized the need to adapt to the advancements in DJ technology and familiarize himself with modern equipment. Determined to deliver an unforgettable performance, he dedicated himself to mastering the art of mixing once again. To this day, he remains confident that rekindling his passion was the right decision.
