Fall 2024 - Manganese Frequencies

On January 8th, 2025, along with so many others, we lost our home in the Altadena fire. Aside from a few bags we lost everything. This happened on my 50th birthday. So together, with friends and family, we decided to gather and celebrate not what was lost, but what we've found in each other. Here's to all who have shown us overwhelming love these past two weeks, may you never feel alone. And to anyone who also tragically lost their home this month, may you find more than what was lost in the fire, and from the ashes, dance!

SPRING 2025 - Underground Haven

Here is my sunrise set for Tropical's 27th anniversary. It was such a beautiful morning on that mountain top this day. I had worked tirelessly to get to this moment in a terrible year filled with tragedy for so many, with the intention of bringing hope, joy, fun, and the sense of inner peace that can only come through temperance and a knowledge of oneself (Greek: Sophrosyne). Unfortunately, this particular morning was also met with a tragedy of it's own. Still, the joy and love in this mix remain, as does my hope for healing for all affected by tragedy in any way. Here's to the next beautiful morning, my friends.

Fall 2025 - Tropical 27th Anniversary

This year marks 35 years since I first started DJ'ing. So what better time to dive into the archives. These are somewhat less polished mixes than I'm used to sharing but they all capture some amazing moments in music and my own journey.  I'll be releasing one a week, working backwards until my very first recorded mix in 1991. I hope you enjoy the journey! :)

Starting off with a couple more recent mixes here is the first of two spontaneous online jam sessions for co-workers that were spread out around the country during some of the most depressing days of Covid. I was really nervous about doing this at first, but it all came together and my worries quickly went away when I saw the smiles on the faces of over a hundred co-workers dancing away in their little zoom boxes. By the end there were tears of joy, words of encouragement, and feelings of shared hope and longing. This is why I love DJ'ing.
