Clocking in at just over a minute, “Charlie Hunter’s Jig” delivers a burst of Celtic energy fused with modern rock sensibilities. The piece opens with an acoustic and electric guitar drone underscored by driving punk rock toms. The song begins with a solo electric guitar playing a traditional jig motif in 6/8, backed by a rhythmic acoustic guitar that lays down the harmonic foundation. As the tune progresses, bodhrán‑style hand percussion and foot stomps join in, adding to the celtic feel. Electric bass and a punchy drum kit lock in with the groove.

From a production standpoint, this track showcases careful layering and dynamic growth. The acoustic instruments are captured with close‑miking techniques to retain warmth and nuance, while the drums and bass are mixed for clarity and impact. Panning and reverb are used to create a spacious soundstage so each element shines without crowding the mix. Originally conceived to accompany a fictional Irish lager commercial, “Charlie Hunter’s Jig” demonstrates both my ability to compose to brief and my versatility in blending traditional folk idioms with modern rock production. Its concise run time makes it well‑suited for commercials, trailers, game menus or any project needing an upbeat, authentic Celtic flavour. #music #instrumental #jingle

Charlie Hunter's Jig

A fiery fusion of soul and rhythm, this instrumental track channels the spirit of Carlos Santana with searing electric guitar melodies and sun-soaked acoustic textures. At its heart pulses a hypnotic Afro-Cuban groove—percussion layers of congas, timbales, and clave driving the rhythm forward with infectious energy. The acoustic guitar lays down earthy, nylon-string motifs, dancing gracefully over the beat, while the electric guitar soars with Santana-style phrasing—smooth, emotive bends and lyrical, singing tone. The result is a cross-cultural journey: part street festival, part spiritual odyssey, and entirely alive with passion. Perfect for a sunset drive, a dramatic film score, or any moment in need of heat and heart.

Under the Streetlight is a hauntingly intimate ballad co-written by Michael Alber, Jonas Anderson, and Edwina Lam. Set against a moody, minimalist groove, the song tells the story of a woman caught between fear and hope, standing alone under the harsh glow of a streetlight. With raw lyricism and a poignant melodic arc, the track captures the quiet resilience of someone waiting for a moment of escape.
