Saatgut Proxy Reflux is the extended version of Saatgut Proxy, an experimental generative setup that creates both randomized and repeatable pathways through the latent space of two neural audio/ AI model architectures (RAVE, vschaos2) which have been trained on parts of my own body of work.

RAVE is "A variational autoencoder for fast and high-quality neural audio synthesis" created by Antoine Caillon and Philippe Esling. arxiv.org/abs/2111.05011

vschaos2 "is a vintage-flavoured neural audio synthesis package. It is based on unsupervised / (semi-)supervised training of spectral information using variational auto-encoders" created by Axel Chemla Romeu Santos. hal.science/tel-03543235

Frente al agobio de esta plástica realidad comenzamos nuestro cuarto ciclo de cápsulas musicales, y el encargado de dar el puntapié inicial es nada más ni nada menos que un querido de la casa. Hablamos de un artista infravalorado en la nepotista escena musical de nuestro territorio, quien desde su intransigencia ha sabido mantenerse vigente por años, manteniendo un proyecto experimental, tanto en lo visual y musical, pero por sobre todo honesto y real.
Lo que Cinturón Negro nos propone desde su laboratorio, ubicado en los antiguos barrios de Rondizzoni, es realmente lo que podemos considerar como un experimento sonoro. Samples, beats, voces alteradas, filtros, melodías añejas y recortes varios flotan en una atmósfera crepitante y densa. Un exquisito collage donde cada parte que lo compone está seleccionada minuciosamente. Aun así, al escuchar el podcast se nos hace inevitable hablar de rap, hip hop o música negra en general, pero consideramos que estas categorías son palabras mezquinas para definir el universo musical de CN.
