Come on Cheer the Boys - a collaboration between myself and Joe Wyatt. Waaaayyy Back in 2004 this tune materialised and I knew there and then it was going to be my attempt at a world cup song. Without lyrics I had to wait it out - but when I met Joe in 2008 (ish) it was a number of tracks I had in waiting for joe to complete with his words and melodies. We embarked on a sunny day out to a studio in Charlton (home of football) and we had a few tracks to demo. We worked together on the lyrics too which was was only the 2nd time I think I helped with any minor input. and I also did a bit of BVs too. So each year I flog it about - without success - nobody has ever liked it really - I dont care tbh because I do! Someday though I hope to get it to the right person to maybe get it recorded properly - this version was a combination of an old digital 4track, bounced tracks, then a bit of cubase blahdyblah!
