Called Creation

Made a radio edit of my track with some audio from Ricky Santorum. Thanks for listening --- The republican party nominee Rick Santorum caught my eye, he makes some interesting speeches. Ive tried to create a soundtrack around some of his words. All copyright goes of course to him. The project is part of an album called voicing where I have taken political dialogue and sound-tracked it. I have tried to capture some of his best moments. He is a good speaker, I don't want to try and take any sides with the recording. I have just taken exactly what he said and created an audio sound-scape behind it. He seems like his heart is in the right place.what

What I have essentially done here is combined a dual track fretless bass jam with a 909 beat, and applied a good helping of cats over it.

The title "Lass o' Gowrie" comes from lyrics set to the melody by Caroline Oliphant of Gask (1766-1845), whose father joined the Jacobite rebellion of Bonny Prince Charlie in 1745. With the failure of the rebellion, the Oliphant family's fortunes collapsed, but Caroline was born into the post-Jacobite sympathies The song was one of those requested by Queen Victoria for a recital by noted singer of Scots songs John Wilson, when she visited Taymouth Castle in 1842.
