Michael Gabriel, a seasoned musician, composer, and producer from Montreal, Canada, now calls the scenic Annapolis Valley landscapes north of Halifax, Nova Scotia, his home. With airplay across over 50 countries, Gabriel’s influence is steadily growing both in Canada and internationally.

His rich musical journey includes playing with the iconic Canadian band Men Without Hats and co-founding Montreal’s critically-acclaimed Isinglass. Now, Gabriel is carving out his own unique path with the release of his debut solo album, Surfacing.

Inspired by legends like David Bowie, Talking Heads, and Moby, Gabriel’s music is a genre-blending experience. Surfacing, released on June 21, 2023, draws on Indie, Electronica, Chill Out, House, Hip Hop, Acid Jazz, and IDM, with echoes of artists like Air, Massive Attack, Fatboy Slim, Chemical Brothers, LTJ Bukem, Leftfield, and Thievery Corporation.

Driven by a passion for creativity and a wide array of influences, Gabriel’s music is an invitation to connect—through mesmerizing melodies and stories that linger. His self-coined “Listen & Groove” style offers a blend of evocative sounds and irresistible rhythms that speak to both the mind and the heart.
