"Wedding Day" is about loving the memory of someone; the moments, their words, and all that might’ve been. The lyrics are a story of everything that keeps you holding on. The melody is a way of letting go. I wrote it at the end of a relationship, still wanting those moments to stay beautiful in my mind, but knowing I had to give them up as mine. I wrote it with a very specific image and voice in my head; one night in particular, her birthday, she had a good amount to drink, and threw her arms around me midway through a Tom Petty song and said, “you better fucking love Tom Petty, cuz this what we’re dancing to at our wedding.” Beyond that, there was always this appreciation for how few words we needed to use, and we’d always say we’d let the hummingbirds do the talking. Other moments, just sharing coffee in the morning, and finding beauty in the simplest things. I wanted the song to reflect a little bit of all that.

Hailing from Los Angeles by way of south Florida, Michael Kaiser is a singer-songwriter known for his somber and soulful musical delivery. Taking influence from artists old and new, Michael’s melodies settle somewhere between Damien Rice and Leif Vollebekk often reading like poems. Settling in to Los Angeles just a short time ago, Michael has landed performances onto some of the city’s most coveted stages including The Hotel Cafe, Desert Nights, Pappy and Harriets, and the Satellite.
