In Memory of Sundae

Many of the songs on this 9 track album, including "For My Daugher Cali" and "In Despair" have thoughtful piano leads with accompanying instruments. Comet Blue has more of an electronic feel while Theme of the Cowboy features guitars, electronic ambiance and orchestral back-up. One song in particular, "Angie's Song" was composed using an iPod touch with instrument apps, when Michael had no instruments to compose with.</p>

"Each song has a special meaning to me, in many ways they are little memoirs of my life from 2005 to 2010. In some instances, these are songs that only I was intended to hear. One day while recovering these songs from an old hard drive I realized the collection sort of came together with such a cohesiveness as if it was meant to be an album. Every song has a story behind it, but the beauty of instrumental music is it can mean something different and significant to anyone." 

For My Daughter Cali

In Transit is an electronic album I composed while riding the NYC subway system. As my commute home is a long one, I thought it would be cool to use that time in a productive way so I looked into some mobile apps to compose with. Using NanoStudio, Alchemy and Sunrizer I was able to compose and record songs similar to how I would at my home studio. I love technology!
