All-vinyl set recorded live for the August 8 2022 episode of Arcade Dance Party, a monthly residency of Chicago DJ Michael Napalm at Emporium in Logan Square.  Blending house, funk, soul, and afrobeat with a cheeky disco flavor, this mix is a little bite of the this monthly "first-Thursdays" flavor.  Expect some known and unknown tunes... dancefloor classics and hot new edits, slow burners and big heaters; on this episode, we're blending some of Chicago's local heroes with other international flavors.  Was a fun set!  Big ups to the people keeping cool dance music and disco alive!  Big ups to the venues that book disco and dance DJs!  Big ups to the people that come out to support it all!

Played some uplifting and healing tunes for a heavy date.  Some funk, some disco, a few world tunes, but a lot of soul.  As always, all vinyl records spun live. Soul always seems to make the time go by a little happier for me, I hope you agree.
