Sonar has held a special place in my heart for the past decade. We have grown together and they have invited me to perform many times at integral points in my career. This year I brought two performances to Sonar. The first was my Audion Subverticul Live show at Sonar By Day, and the second was a DJ set at Sonar By Night. The DJ set was captured in full live format, with microphones on the crowd and a final mix done on the house console by Sonar's incredible engineers. I'm happy to present this DJ set to you now in all it's glory. Relive the energy of Sonar By Night over and over again.

Cubik have cooked up a spine-tingling cosmic curry this month, and it smells fantastic. Tuck in!

Cubik are two lads (Jo Howard & Clark 'Pav' Davison) from the North East of England who started organising parties in early 2012 in their native Sunderland. As well as being residents at their own renowned Cubik events they frequently appear at some of the North's finest underground nights.

Having began working on their own sound in late 2013, they have caught the attention of exciting and innovative new labels, with releases forthcoming in the summer of 2014.

Playing alongside the likes of Daniel Avery, Todd Terje and Last Waltz, to name a few, the duo have been showcasing their eclectic and somewhat cosmic direction.

A collective of DJs, promoters and producers Bad Passion are behind some of London's most discerning parties inviting an impressive array of guest DJ's not least Theo Parrish, KZA, Idjut Boys and Eric Duncan. Production wise Chris Stoker and Andy Bainbridge are respectively behind ESS O ESS and Machete Savant; responsible for some of our favourite records over the last couple of years. They also have a label on the way, 'Not An Animal' which if is anything like their parties and releases should definitely be one to check out

Firstly, let me just say a very big thank you to everyone who’s made The Idiots Are Winning such a special party over the last five years, and to Louis & Jake, who first pitched the idea to me as we jumped around on a boat in Petrcane for one of the early Electric Elephant festivals. They did all the hard work & I did my usual and just tipped up last minute with a bag of music.

From its humble beginnings in the basement of Life, to the Dance Tunnel, the Argonaut boat parties in Tisno (for EE - thus coming full circle !) and various one-off spots from Hebden Bridge to Kingsland High Street, our idea for a ‘house party’ style knees up that was the opposite of that serious super-clubbing experience, seemed to really strike a chord with a loyal and completely up for it crowd who joined us for laughs and large portions.

We had so many amazing guest DJ’s join us along the way too, Chez Damier, I:Cube, Gilb’r and Maurice Fulton (my favourite party, although they really have all been brilliant) Luke Solomon & Rob Mello, Crazy P, Ewan Pearson, Pete Herbert, Luke Una (always wrecked the place !), Krysko, Sean Johnston and Karizma to name just a few - people we booked because we knew their record bags were a lot deeper than this week’s promo’s, and who, by and large ’got it’

Some seriously 'off the deep end' (almost literally) Idiots' boat parties across the Adriatic (thanks for having us Electric’s !) were the highlight of our clubbing year.

There are lots of mixes up here already from T.I.A.W, from less in-your-face style warm up sessions, to heads-down, low ceiling Dance Tunnel sets, and finally, this one. 

A wonderful venue in NE London, part loft space, part late night drinking den provided the perfect location to celebrate our 5th and sign off in fine sing-a-long fashion. Lots of Idiots favourites all cobbled together across an evening I’ll remember for a very long time.
