Windforge Exploring The Jungle

19 years ago I played my first round of Killer Instinct in a dark, smokey pub in Capella, a small town in central Queensland, Australia.  This amazing game, and the amazing music by Robin Beanland & Graeme Norgate, inspired me into a career of music for video games.

This Friday, the 22nd of November, we're unleashing the new Killer Instinct into the world.  I am privileged to have been able to play in this musical universe and I hope you, the fan, enjoys the blood, sweat and tears that we've poured into this thing.

Enjoy this.  We made it for you.

Drops of Darkness

I stumbled across this acoustic guitar recording I did a year ago today - the beginning of a song written on the spot, unedited, - Dec.2 2011.  The timing was too coincidental for me too pass up the chance to post it up..
 It was one of the first arrangements I hoped to use for a song about The Pond - the big ,beautiful, murky body of water behind my house that my friend and neighbor would craft into a huge skating rink in the winters and host huge gatherings of friends and family. It is a Canadian postcard scenario over there, worthy of a painting by both Rockwell and Bateman.
 
Unfortunately my friend died from a heart attack this past October, and while he heard me jam about on a few variations of the song, I never had a finished recording of it.  Time to complete some of these tunes I'd say.Time is too freakin' short. 

By mounting this recording up here I am making a commitment to use this for something more produced and fleshed-out  in the very near future.  
It's a direct contrast to the moody, tribal and spacey stuff I'm currently developing for a few games that I have offered my services to help out with.  This has helped cleanse the palette, now to make it even more tasty. Cheers.
