Michael Boase original tune called "Safe" in a three piece band set up, recorded, mixed and mastered at home.
It has been a song in the making for about a year now, as it took me a while to be able to sing and play the guitar parts. I had fun playing bass here as it is something I've never tried before but something I'm naturally drawn to, looking forward to learning more. Originally, this song was inspired by a groove created in some jams I had with a good friend and great musician, Shane Kearney on bass.

Property is a tune that I started writing when a venue called "Kulcha" was shutting it's doors due to a lack of support. It was fantastic venue and organisation that really helped me a lot in my early days as a musician. I was very sad to see it close and it propelled me to question the reasons why and think more broadly about society and what madness capitalism in many ways. 
In a way we have our culture, our land, our water and our property stolen from us by the "big fish" of business and they sell it back to us as consumers but can't keep laying down, we've got to stand up! 
It was recorded at home and is roughly a 9 or 10 piece band of Michael Boase overdubbing AfroBeat craziness.

A track dedicated to my wife Yamina who inspired this track based around a drum phrase I made up during her dance class.

I have this recording of a rehearsal of the Crux before we recorded this track as a demo titled "Trench Digging Vegies". This is one of those recordings that for me, despite having terrible distortion somehow manages to get a very funky vibe. This is raw, uncut, unedited live recording of us in a room.... Still one of my favorite recordings of us.
