my growing little tribute to David Bowie
The man who got me started on my musical journey as much as anyone, a year ago. His death prompted me to add my cover of Space Oddity to the ones that poured in by the thousands. It was his first single I think and went to #1.
I haven't played any since until the last few days, when I've added the produced Ziggy Stardust, Rebel Rebel, Changes, Let's Dance, Suffragette City and Heroes to the mix. Oh, and All the Young Dudes was written by Bowie for Mott the Hoople, though he covered it himself.

My 7th Bowie cover. SIx of them in 6 days and one (Space Oddity) a year ago. I believe all 7 of them were on a list of the 10 all-time David Bowie songs, with Space Oddity and Ziggy Stardust topping the list. I think I'll wait a while before doing any more. Hmm, the list also had Fame, Life on Mars, and Ashes to Ashes with honorable mentions to Fashion, Modern Love, and Under Pressure. How can I wait for any of these ??
