Soundtrack for a performance of the same name from the Vaudeville student fashion design show, Dalhousie University, March 2015. 
Dana-Lynn Farrell and I created garments for six performers, each one portraying a character inspired by a different time period:

"This collection unites the two areas that most fascinate us: speculative visions of the future and creative interpretations of the past.  Rather than pursue historical accuracy, however, we’re using elements of history (and “future history”) as inspiration for our own concepts.  The first three outfits echo the fashions of past eras, interpreted through characters that we wish had existed in real life: Kennedy Chadwick portrays a medieval fierce femme, at once gentle lady and master swordswoman; Connor Brown inhabits swashbuckling attire that brings steampunk into the Renaissance; and Jenna Martin’s outfit fuses the elegant simplicity of the Regency period with a relaxed, contemporary vibe.  The final three outfits come from an imagined future that references past trends in unconventional ways: Sarah Gilligan is dressed in the attire of a socialite of the 22nd century, a new era of grand balls and political upheaval, with a retro-futurist touch.  Valeska Meyer and Liam Crouse show us the gender-neutral fashions of the mysterious Second Renaissance, a time of flourishing innovation and constant exchange of ideas.
