1. What was a scorching moment on the dance floor that made you fall in love with Electronic music?

My relationship with electronic music began long before I ever set foot into a club so I guess I can tell you about a More recent moment that made me fall even deeper in love. One particular moment stands out vividly in my memory and that was Fumiya Tanaka's set at UN_MUTE's Perlon party Art Basel 2022. Complete masterclass and still to this day is one of my favorite sets from the last years that has truly re inspired me.

2. Do you like the combination of chocolate and spice?

YES! IT'S ACTUALLY IT'S ONE OF THE BEST COMBINATIONS BECAUSE OF THE CONTRAST OF FLAVORS AND SENSATION.
AT FIRST BITE YOU GET SWEET RICHNESS OF THE CHOCOLATE AND THEN COMES THE HEAT FROM THE CHILI ADDING DEPTH WITH A SOME TINGLE ON THE TASTE BUDS. THE CHOCOLATE'S SWEETNESS TAMES THE CHILI'S HEAT, CREATING A WELL-ROUNDED COMBINATION OF FLAVORS.

  3. What’s your favorite hot sauce at the moment? 

TOO MANY TO NAME BUT IF I HAD TO CHOOSE ONE RIGHT NOW IT WOULD BE LION'S MANE PIRI PIRI FROM THE HEARTBEAT HOT SAUCE COMPANY, IT'S ONE OF THE MOST ADDICTING
SAUCES OUT THERE.

BIO: 
Michael Rosa makes music that brings bodies together in blissful motion on the dance floor. With every sonic vibration, the Denver-based producer’s vision of community resonates in the soul of every audience member.

Raised on the breakbeat, hip-hop and freestyle of a bygone era, Rosa utilizes his formal training as an audio engineer to craft house and techno with an almost tribal groove. An infectious swing permeates through every enigmatic rhythm. Labels like Desert Hearts, Yoruba Records, P.U.N.C.H.I.S , Super Freq have signed his songs, and he’s released others via his own imprints, Early Morning Music & Strange People

Rosa also branched out into vinyl-only releases in 2015. His remix of Duky’s “Creatures of the Ocean” sold out within a month of being pressed, and “Tennessee Confessions” came out on Still Play Records with remixes by Julie Marghilano and Synkrone on the flip. 
2019 marks his 3rd vinyl release.

At the beginning of 2015 Rosa made his long-awaited Desert Hearts debut with a “re-smash” of “Another One Bites The Dust” by Queen. Later in the year, he released an EP titled Sound Engineer through the label, With his Abu and Numb ep to follow in 2017 and 2018. Also a edits ep 'What have you pumped for me lately" in which was heavily supported by jamie jones and many other heavy hitters.

As a label boss, Michael Rosa has facilitated releases for the such artists as Mikey Lion, Coriesu and Hernan Bass, Herck an many more via Early Morning Music, In 2018 Rosa also launched an artist imprint called Strange People, releasing artist such as Jay tripwire, Lubelski, Cicuendez, Tripio X, Julia Niko, Prince L.

To date, he has also put out originals and remixes via Draft, RITMIK Records, My First Love Record, Malicious Smile, Lowroom Recordings, Natural Beat Recordings, Sound Revolution Records and Kanja Records, and most recently his heavy hitter ep 'House Party' which was charted by Loco dice in november of 2018.

Having performed as a DJ throughout the United States. Among his more notable bookings are TBA in Brooklyn, New York; Flash in Washington, DC; Electric Pickle and Treehouse and the infamous club space in Miami, Florida; Kava Lounge in San Diego, California; and three editions of Desert Hearts Festival in Warner Springs, California.

No matter the setting, Rosa only wishes for his music to build bonds between all who accompany him on any given aural journey. His hope is that each participant takes the friendliness that they experienced while listening to his music and apply it to their day-to-day lives.
