Hi, I’m a Thai/Filipino singer/songwriter. These days when I record, I prefer to go by 'MaGana'. Pleased to make your acquaintance through music. In Thailand, I’m mostly known as Michael Sawatsewi. In my youth, I released a Thai pop album, ‘Sawasdee… Michael’ (สวัสดี... ไมเคิล), mostly recognized for the hit songs ‘Pood La Sak Kam’ (พูดลาสักคำ) and ‘Cheb Krao Nee’ (เจ็บคราวนี้). Here in Bangkok, I’ve written and sung for for a slew of Thai mainstream & independent recording artists, while also frequently collaborated with my good friends—Cyndi Seui & Gramaphone Children (of Kitsch Cat); Thai/Italian singer Debbie K, and Thai/British comedian & TV host Chris Wright.

Here, I get to indulge my passion for singing and writing… in English. I feature some new originals (a few new ones in Thai), as well as collabs with amazing musicians I’ve gotten to befriend via SoundCloud—Aixe, Lintwahn and Count Effectz (Australia); The B Regiment (Bangladesh); Mark Dorricott aka markd4321 (UK); and XTRAFUNK (Germany), among others. I’ve also done some covers as well as some re-sung mashups.
