Featuring a killer vocal from guest vocalist Chris Wilson, this was a very successful release that is very much in demand across the globe. This version features a heavy break mid way through and was a firm favourite of the Craig Charles Funk and Soul show on 6 music for some time. Gone are the strings from the original and previous Dub which sees this version ultimately present the listener with a starker, darker and further stripped back feel. This is the sound of a long forgotten dancehall in a ghost town. Big delays, cascading drums, upfront bass and a mix that sees Funk and Dub Reggae fused together seamlessly once more.....

This early Funkshone tune was written by Mike Bandoni and sees him play every note, break and beat. Ably assisted on recording and production by Nino Auricchio this is a real slice of the early Funkshone sound, warts and all and was a B side to one of the first ever releases on Skyline Recordings! Big hitter drums, thumping bass, cutting wah guitar grooves and the all important Hammon Organ are all brought together to deliver a slice of Deep Funk ready for any speaker, headphone or dancefloor.

A heavy mid tempo number form the early days. This version was never released on vinyl but did have a place on the Japanese version of the Shining LP on P-Vine Records. The trademark heavy Funkshone drum sound underpin wah guitar and groove driven Hammond. This was one of the first Funkshone recordings back in 2006. Play. This. Loud!

Taken from the album '2' this is the full version of Dirty Money released in 2012. The full Funkshone live band together with Soul to Soul's epic string section (Echo Strings) and music Maestro on Flute Mr Kaidi Tatham (Bugz in The Attic/4 Hero/Domu etc.) present this dramatic piece that sounds like it came straight from a heist movie! As is often the way with Funkshone records, there's a heavy drum break in the middle and a relentless groove throughout. enjoy!!

Funkshone - Chase The Dream (Loop)

Singer songwriter from Denver, born and raised on Motown and 70's rock,  who has traveled the strange world as music publisher and licensing agent consulting on the business of music. Grammy's? nah, but really close for a children's album called the Jiggleworm. I've had some radio and years of touring with The Soulthieves and then I went back to acoustic rock roots and songwriting again.
