I Have No Idea, I'm Sorry

Michael Gerard Levasseur is a singer, guitar player, and poet originally from Brooklyn, NY. He has released three solo albums and one full-band album under the name Michael The Blind, and two albums with his band The Moonshine (consisting of his wife Rachael and a revolving cast of other string players). Both projects have released several singles as well as instrumental releases. With obvious nods to the art song stylings of luminaries and personal heroes like Leonard Cohen, and Jacques Brel, Levasseur’s songs tend toward the darkly hopeful, and show the influences of both his upbringing as a classical vocalist, as well as his love for old-time American music and traditional folk music from around the world.
