THE COLOR OF YOU - The Lake

'Earth' is a single-movement thematic piece for orchestra exploring contrasting moods based on an appreciation of the natural world. I started writing the piece in the summer of 2020 after school finished abruptly due to the coronavirus pandemic. The pandemic saw communities come together to support and care for each other, and daily government-permitted time for fresh air helped me better appreciate how we should equally respect and protect our planet. The piece opens with a simple, delicate piano melody before expanding into a full symphonic score, exploring a series of themes and variations passed around the orchestra. There are moments of stillness, fragility, force, and intensity, with playful wind melodies, grand horn motifs, and cheeky string pizzicatos.

Music for a large outdoor theatre event to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Welsh Millennium Centre in Cardiff. 

The music is a mix of orchestral and choral music set into a modern context for a broad audience, we had 15,000!

The show was a mix of dance, puppetry, proejction mapping, and large pyrotechnic sequences, mixed to create a thrilling experience. 

the work features Sinfonia Cymru, Only Kids Aloud choir, soprano Shan Cothi, Cor Caerdydd, and  DJ Jaffa.

Riches Of The Sea - A Welsh traditional sea shanty.

An upbeat gypsy-inspired piece to open a programme following the trial and tribulations of the people of Wales over one Summer.
