Bosnian-built and -bred Sev Dah may be a Swedish expat, but the Balkan blackness clings strongly to the bleak percussions and rigidly uneasy synthetics that unwillingly fuse into his strongly individual take on techno. Authentically purveying the pulsations of the nakedly throbbing and ugly world, far away from Starbucks and H&M. 
Signed to respected labels such as Random Island, Mote-Evolver and Kaiser's KSR, he quickly gnawed his way into the scene’s core of DJs and producers. Sev is even managing new projects on his own label Proletarijat since 2016. Like a rabid mongrel, since 1998 he has been chewing and belching new bastard beats that are aching to scream out. Consequently there’s a steaming and steady stream of vinyl releases coming.
With influences ranging from Stigmata and Mills to Master Reese and Petar Dundov, Sev Dah is a versatile but headstrong DJ that can gently ease a thumb in at midnight or fervently thrust it down the hatch at peak time.

From Europe’s southern tip in the Gibraltar-facing port city of Algeciras comes ORBE, the Spanish techno enthusiast whose potent beats have hammered out a pedigree path both as DJ and producer. Prevailing winds carried Fernando Sanz first to Seville to study sound engineering, later to Madrid where the fertile scene allowed him to build a community of music-minded friends that have put that city squarely on the map. Under these conditions, his work (what he terms a means of ‘contacting the future, the avant-garde’) has developed into something much deeper and more sophisticated. His love of artists like Brian Eno and Boards of Canada, and roots in breakbeat and drum and bass have informed a style that’s allowed him to take up the mantle as one of Spain’s most interesting talents. Under his self-titled record label (est. 2014) come his signature killer tunes, and in his work with names like Eduardo de la Calle and labels like Token, Hivern Discs, Axis and Mote Evolver a pole position at the forefront of modern techno. Fresh off his set on the Bassiani floor (14th March) comes this next Bassiani mix. Tensile rhythms that lurch ahead with supernatural power, an involute web of intelligent sounds that attest to his skill as selector. Bassiani Podcast 254 is an hour-long mash up of elfin beats, a vibrating hymn to the sounds of tomorrow, Orbe at the top of his game.

Daniele Serraino, also known as D/n, is an Italian DJ and producer based in Berlin. He started his journey in electronic music in 2010, gaining recognition in the Acid Techno/Acid core scene with 303 styles with his previous project Dane, with which he played in various European clubs and raves and released music on various labels, including his own Ausgang Records.

Daniele's focus shifted to Techno in 2018 with his recent project D/n, characterized by dark hypnotic atmospheres, dub and broken beat. Lover of analog in his productions and vinyl in his sets, he is able to involve in introspective journeys. In 2020 he founded the label and podcast series Spazio Magnetico, which explores genres ranging from dark-hypnotic Techno to Raw, crossing dub, IDM and dark ambient styles. D/n's tracks have received support from renowned artists and his vinyl-driven DJ sets range from experimental techno to dark and raw techno.

He has graced the stages of Berlin's most important venues, such as Tresor, Zur Klappe and Ava Club.

For the 28th edition of the series, I welcome long time friend and Rotterdam-based artist AHIL—a rising name in the Dutch deep techno scene and founder of the multidisciplinary platform Hypnosis. His journey through clubs like De School and festivals like Monument shaped a sound that is both immersive and reflective, blending dreamy atmospheres, hypnotic rhythms, and a distinct love for percussion.

This mix traces the timeline of his musical path—piecing together moments of influence, transformation, and artistic growth into one conceptual narrative. A homage to community, curation, and deep listening.

This is Default LabMix034, it took a while but here I am back with a true gem. Really something straight up my alley. Full, warm, layered, ethereal and perfectly placed sounds. A beautiful, slightly progressive set that takes you on a very interesting journey through the entire color spectrum. a touch of expressionism, inner emotions placed central, reality is distorted.
