Su búsqueda y selección profundiza en los orígenes del House, Techno, Acid, New Beat e Ítalo Disco, reviviendo la nostalgia de los clubes de los 80’s y principios de los 90’s, incorporando la frescura de la nueva generación.

Cagey is a punchy cocktail of sly bass hooks, raw machine grooves, and found sounds, all tied together by vocals that shape-shift from staccato statements to haunted murmurs and back again. Featuring six tracks including a remix by Colombian producer Filmmaker. The opener Cagey sets the tone with an elastic, Liaisons Dangereuses-esque bassline coiling around its tail and a propulsive electro beat juxtaposed with the track's cadenced vocals. Blynde amps up the hypnotic feel a notch by throwing a momentum-building bass, snatches of words from the experimental film Anti-Clock, and detached vocals into the blender. The result is street electro evoking a secret discotheque in Rimini in 1985, overtaken by disaffected mutants. Ending the A-side is the slow burner Lawn Preacher, which builds cinematic tension with a synth hook straight from the depths of Ralf Hütter's subconscious. The sly hip-wrecker Coast to Coast kicks off the B-side by setting the tempo to a syrup-laced new beat pulse. This is the soundtrack for a car cruising along the outer reaches of a tropical beach at night. Next, Slovak Casinos picks up the pace with funky techno at its dirtiest. The track's coy vocals beckon the listener to enter a dizzying gambling world of random numbers, slot machines gone kaput, and card counters losing track. On the record’s final track, Colombian beat wizard @flmmkr kicks the gears into turbo drive on his demented speed-addicted remix of Slovak Casinos. Cagey is defined by a dry, cheeky irreverence that keeps it uncompromisingly fresh and forward-leaning. Prepare yourself for a mind-altering experience with each listen, as this record sets a new standard for electronic music operating at the outskirts of the dance-floor.

From her earliest connection to music from punk to funk growing up surrounded by music culture in Los Angeles and also her involvement in the Music Underground for decades, Blackmoon 77 has had a genuine passion for music which spans across many genres and forms.  She has focused her sound exploration into creating musical journeys that convey her unique point of view and feelings through music. Since the start of her career as a DJ in the late 90’s  until today Blackmoon 77 has taken inspiration from the obscure sounds of post punk/wave and experimental, as well as a true DNA connection to Acidhouse and mutant industrial techno.

As a producer she has released on labels such as Discos de los Quebranto, Feral Colony and Veleno Viola. Her respect for the experimental rule breakers and innovators, as well as the artist who channel their world views on corruption through thier music have been  integral.  In this mix she highlights some of the earliest industrial punk and minimal wave/ synth artist to the newest releases that bring awareness and a message about the angst and joy of the human experience. Together, Lacey and I are part of LA's Jill's House crew -- she's become a great friend, and also we're musical twins, sharing a love of everything from house and techno to post-rock, shoegaze, and ambient music.

She's a Texas-born, LA-based producer, DJ, dancer, and event organizer, mixing tunes strictly for the love of dancers since 1998. Watching her DJ and listening to her tunes is a masterclass. Influenced by the sounds of Chicago, New York, Detroit, Berlin, and London, her DJ sets travel a road of many sounds, from disco, tribal, acid, and afro house to deep, dark techno rhythms peppered with improvised samples, loops, and acapellas.

Equally awesome is her range of productions, which, outside of house, techno, and experimental funk, reaches into the realms of ambient, trip hop, synth pop, and chillwave, via her alter ego, Inquiri, with two full-length albums and a number of remixes, singles, and mixtapes released since 2010.

Turbo Dreams 008 - Lacey IQ

Lacey IQ is a Texas-born, LA-settled electronic music obsessor and creator, remixer, and DJ, mixing tunes strictly for the love of dancers since the late 90's, and creating her own diversely-flavored catalogue of multi-genre music since the early 2000's. Influenced by the sounds of Chicago, New York, Detroit, Berlin, and London, her DJ sets often travel a road of many sounds--traveling between disco, tribal, acid, and afro house to deep, dark techno rhythms peppered with improvised samples, loops, and acapellas, it’s unlikely to hear the same set twice. Recently, a handful of releases on Krafted Underground, Good For You Records, and True House LA, as well as independently-released remixes for award-winning Southern California hip hop artist Artson and singer-songwriter Sariyah Idan have put IQ on the map across a diverse array of music communities as a skilled producer, remixer, and mix engineer. 

The entirety of the Lacey IQ catalogue illustrates her personal creative creed in every sense of the word: nobody feels one way all the time. Equally diverse is her stylistic taste in music production, which, outside of house, techno, and experimental funk, reaches into the realms of ambient, trip hop, synth pop, and chillwave, via her self-professed “softer side” and alter ego Inquiri. Inquiri currently has three full-length albums--2010’s sweet but epic ambient trip hop excursion Walk For Miles, followed by the release in 2014 of Semi-Human, a bizarre, emotional, and beautiful experiment with longtime friend, Japanese recording artist and classically-trained pianist and vocalist, Mayumi Kaneyuki. After a long hiatus, Inquiri was officially back in 2020 with a remix for LA-based synth pop goddess Dresage, followed in 2022 by the release of her first fully ambient album, Seven, released on beloved ambient imprint Stereoscenic Records. Shortly after Seven came her first vinyl pressing ever, on ambient and experimental powerhouse label Past Inside The Present, where she appeared alongside an astonishing lineup of other female ambient music artists on the benefit compilation, Healing Together. 2023 will see at least two more major releases from Inquiri.
