**LAZPOD IS BACK**
After taking a moments break I am finally back with a brand new extra special LAZPOD show. Hot on the heels of releasing my very first Movie Soundtrack, Beijing Spring, I figured it was a perfect time to create my ultimate movie soundtrack mix. This mix is a collection of some of my all time favorite prices of music from the silver screen, nothing too obvious here but they are all winners. 
Expect to hear incredible pieces from Johann Jóhannsson, Michael Nyman, Philip Glass, Marvin Gaye and so much more… having been collecting soundtrack albums all mg life, this is one of those moments when I realized I needed to create something true, honest and beautiful.

Lazpod 39 - The MoviePod

Australian Kia very quickly rose up through the grimy after-hours rave scene of Melbourne to make her mark on the international stage. Now Berlin-based, her unique grasp of rhythm is rooted in a love of bass, IDM and deeper techno though she is adept at exploring a wide range of moods within those worlds. She has done so at places like ADE and our own festival and extends her good taste to the curation of her Animalia imprint and its ambient sub-label Cirrus as well as her own original tracks on Nous'klaer Audio.

In this week's mix, Kia showcases a colourful and kaleidoscopic take on techno which she says was awakened by an early trip to Japan's famously head Labyrinth festival. It's a hi-fidelity feast of supple rhythms, icy synths and deep space ambiance that unfolds in late-night fashion. The melodies are as delicate as silk, the drums rubbery yet punchy. It's high-paced future music that manages to be as delicate and beautiful as it is dynamic.

Matt is a DJ, promoter and event organizer, who now lives in Warsaw but he does not forget his roots. He is from Płock, Poland, and it is where his artistic activities are concentrated. For many years he has been building the local electronic music scene and working to spread awareness of it among the local community. Matt is a member of the Audiobar collective, which has created one of the longest running events accompanying the Audioriver festival for the last 10 years, and is responsible for a number of well-received events at the local club and beyond. Matt is not limited to producing events and playing DJ sets. His new project STIMMULUS (@stimmulus) has been established in 2022. It is a platform with podcasts, which aims to promote Polish producers and DJs. In his performances, Matt combines melodic techno with progressive tracks, into which he brilliantly weaves energetic sounds with the addition of strong synth timbres. He has performed in clubs such as Smolna, Nowa Jerozolima, Wyspa Tamka, Crackhouse, SiXA or even in the French spot Signal 2108. He perfomed at Audioriver Festival twice and at LAS Festival.

He is also known to his audience under the alias Autronom (@autronom), which allows him to show his darker side and takes listeners on a journey from ambient sounds to hypnotic techno, irregular beats and piercing drone music.

Michael Warren - Polish producer based in the agglomeration of Tri-City metropolitan area. Warren emerged in 2017 as part of the local electronic scene on the coast of the Baltic sea where he developed his signature electronic live act. He debuted in 2023 releasing a series of EPs and singles on the acclaimed Berlin techno label - @steyoyoke. His 2023 material received praises from artists such as @nick-devon, @grammik and the label’s founder @soul-button. Warren also collaborated with Soul on the “Echoes of Hareem'' single, which made its way to the annual ‘Couples Affair’ vinyl record. Warren aspires to mesmerize the audience with memorable dark melodies intertwined with signature, heavily processed vocals and progressive, often unusual arrangements. Although he takes inspiration from the art of DJing, he remains devoted to performing exclusively his own original material live, incorporating improvisation and real-time deconstruction of tracks. The 2024 Stimmulus set and the corresponding live-act is the result of the last 5 months of rigorous daily production process, representing a new chapter for Warren, melting elements of swinging house, future garage and tribal techno.
