Queer Concerto (There are more of them than us) for 9 Saxophones and Orchestra

The word for word setting of an excerpt of the hearing in the Clinton-Lewinsky case. This piece was part of the music theatre show "The American Penis" by my group New Guide to Opera, which toured Germany, Austria and Switzerland in 2005.

My friend Alex tried to record her playing a famous Rachmaninov piece...as a Christmas present for her mother. This is the journey that she went on to get there...after two hours.
I re-notated what she played for ensemble with her original playing as an edited electronic track.

The Lady Plays Rachmaninov

for 8 flutes, 3 oboes, 8 clarinets, 3 bassoons, 2 saxes, 4 horns, 6 trumpets, 6 trombones, 4 tubas, 5 percussion, piano, harp, strings, mezzo soprano and speaking voice.

Spring Symphony (RBC)

The amazing De Ereprijs performing some of the movements of my Hamburger Club Music.

Hamburger Club Music takes material from my Hamburger Suite, written for Ensemble Resonanz. Every movement is related to aspects of the city of Hamburg, all of which are rather odd and not on your list of must-know facts about the city.
"Passepied Firestarter" is based on a Passepied from a Telemann Suite, a composer who lived in Hamburg but is never celebrated, apparently because there is a lack of organised Baroque music in the city.
"EU-Beitrittslandtanz" celebrates two ethnic minorities which can be found in the city. 
"Hamburger Hafen Massengutumschlag" is the translation of an import/export diagram of Hamburg Harbour in 2013.
"Schnulze" is a very German word for a slow cheesy song. Apparently, the word was first officially used in a TV production meeting in Hamburg in the late 1940s.

Hamburger Club Music (2018)

This is my version of Wagner's celebrated piece, re-composed in such a way that it fits on with my version of Classical Music history. This piece is dedicated to the amazing artist Lucy Harvey and performed by the wonderful Noszferatu.
