Ariet returns to his label Psylocybina with an Icaro EP – 4 deep techno cuts inspired by medicine culture around Ayahuasca brew. 

The word Icaro is believed to derive from the Quechua verb ikaray, which means "to blow smoke in order to heal". These are the medicine songs used by shamans in healing ceremonies. The EP was built around samples of those songs and the intention to transfer those vibrations to techno music. 

The EP starts with Plant’s Wisdom which transfers us into the ceremony with its dynamic tribal rhythms, ambiance, and vocal effects. Song For The Spirit takes us further into the process as leading baselines intertwine with vocal-like pads, groovy rhythms, and nature-like effects. The EP title track Icaro arrives in a more introspective mood as the main melody and baseline lead us through it’s different facets arriving into new territories where extra rhythms and ambience development are introduced. The story ends with Song For Protection where the juxtaposition of driving rhythms, dubby effects, and ethereal pads creates the feeling of arriving home after a long journey.

With over 10 years of experience behind the decks, extensive experience in event promotion, and countless hours spent in the studio producing his music, he has developed a deep understanding of electronic dance music. Whether it's a peak-time set, a morning afterparty, or a hypnotic warm-up, you can expect a transcendental musical journey with a mystic vibe.
