His expertise and confidence in using hardware to create totally original tracks right before the audience's eyes creates the perfect blend of entertainment and unpredictability. Merely watching him build his live set via an impressive array of hardware including his trusty Roland MC909, Maschine Mikro, a Kaos Pad 3, Pioneer's RMX1000, the Akai APC 40 and a DJ mixer is a joy to behold. Performing with all of these instruments through Ableton has now become second nature, meaning every twist and turn is controlled effortlessly, creating a dynamic experience for all involved.

Here is a 60 minute snippet of my performance at South By Southwest (SXSW) with Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Doorly, and Ardalan in Austin, Texas.  The event was held March 20, 2015 at Kingdom Nightclub and hosted by RealMusic Events.

Of course, nothing beats actually being there with the state-of-the-art lighting and sound systems, but hopefully this will help make you feel like you were right there on the dancefloor.

After recently joining the All Day I Dream and Kindisch families, YokoO returns to Musik Gewinnt Freunde with another exquisite 4 track package showcasing his talent. Stripped back sensual grooves blended with hugging textures and melancholic melodies have become the trademark sound of this great artist.

Both the title track “Oneness”, which is the result of an organic live jam, and “Timeless Love” show us quite an hypnotic and stripped down side of his music whilst “Break The Light” and “Xani” offer the warm textures he is known for, bringing the listener to a more obvious emotional soundscape.

Also featuring Australian but Berlin based singer/producer Seabourne, and German violinist/live artist Seth Schwarz, this EP is a gem that contains something for everyone.

Todays mix is brought to you by musician and mastering engineer Konstantin Sibold. Hailing from the South of Germany, Stuttgart to be more precisely, the release of ‘Madelaine’ on Innervisions was his big break through. Born in Stuttgart 1987, Sibold became the youngest resident of the notorious Rocker 33; only two years later he and his long time companion Leif Müller started ‘Common Sense People’. In this event series the focus is on providing an intimate insight into one artist, with extended sets and focused programming, all in line with the mantra of the night – noncomercial, deep and timeless electronic music. Things that are nowadays essential to Konstantins sets as well.
