On the other side of this discomfort, is my lesson. My ultimate love lesson. 

I have tried to create a way to live in this world where I don’t lose love. That nothing can break the bonds of my connections. 

I must be able to live in this poly world that I have imagined is free and open and loving and accepting. This is my future. To let go and let things ebb and flow in and out of my orbit. 

What is meant for me, will be here for me. 

So today I release the energy that was directed in one place, into the energy of the world. 

Right now, the energy of the world needs artists to speak up…we need to collectively stand against war, against that which is faulty in this world. In the same way I need to take a stand on how I live and love. To change what I perceive is faulty in this world. To possibly change creation. To collectively affect our evolution. I see one thing happening and need it to move in a different direction. I will take all my will to move it…

This new music is about seeing the faulty, the inherent faultiness of human nature, not giving up, channeling it into energy, transforming it into music and watching it move us collectively into a different space. 

I have never been here before…and I now see that on the other side of my discomfort, there is a great lesson…and it will change me…forever. 

‘What is inherently faulty in human beings, is responsible for our slaughtering of human life and such vehement hatred.  War is never the solution and hate perpetuates hatred. The Israel/Palestinian war is heart wrenching and absolutely terrifying to watch. The world needs to move into a different way of living and loving. We are slowly killing ourselves here. 

What if there truly was a way to love, without measure, without hurt, accepting each other, no matter what? What would that outcome look like? Would we have peace then?  Is peace the possible outcome of loving without limits?’ M

Berlin based, ‘piano poet’ Federico Albanese took inspiration from the brief transitional state between day and night, writing a collection of chamber-music miniatures that withdraw, explore, yet assert their laconic melodies all the more decisively. The emotions to which Albanese has given expression in his thirteen compositions have been articulated with well-considered gestures.   

Equally well-considered is the choice of instruments that Federico Albanese deploys on ‘The Blue Hour’. Piano and synthesizers are joined by a cello, magnified by over-dubbing and sound effects that culminate into a little chamber orchestra, which swells the acoustics while checking the dominance of a clear solo voice. Albanese esteems the Gesamtklang, the overall sound image, with its mixture of compositional precision and dreamlike fluidity. For this reason, the pieces are recorded from start to finish on analogue equipment, further enhancing the warmth of their sound. In ‘Céline’ we hear a discreet beat, scarcely perceptible, a gentle pulse that lends structure without jeopardizing the charm of ‘The Blue Hour’.
