INTO_SUN_GLOW

I sweep the clouds
from the busy roads
fog is getting darker
sun’s a tiny light

Look out of the window
what do you see?

1000 lives moving
into the night again

as the birds are dying slowly
all the thoughts in my head
burning down like candles in a storm

in a quiet room I sit at dawn
of bleak memories
lead me back to the place I was born
disturb my inner peace

as the rain keeps crashing down
wired words above the ground
interfacing souls to feel alive
bound on darkened diamond moons
shape tomorrow’s healing wounds

sun will glow in the darkness for you

So many people struggle with insomnia because of devices in bed. I am guilty myself. Most of my music was created to listen to in the dark when there is no other sound. Put in your earbuds so it goes right into your brain - and dream.

Insomnia

modern day

photos are memories I keep within my mind
stored in the basement in a crate I’ll never find
songs are the stories and the places I have been
authored before this mental knot I’m tangled in

modern day is here to stay
and all that was will fade away
heavens rain and hell will pay
our eyes are wet with tears

poets and prophets weave our words into their art
read in dramatic mien and spoken from their heart  
unseal the parchment let the words escape their cage
left with a book with seven hundred empty page

styles we made are old and frayed 
where all the past is filed away
a quill, a pen I’ll write the end
the sky is wet with ink

modern day is here to stay
and all that was will fade away
heavens rain and hell will pay
our eyes are wet with tears
modern day is bland and beige
remembrance of the golden age

I listen to the wind
