Ableton Live experiment created on 12/01/13, including my first use of a software flute and Ableton's phaser. Please note that it is an incomplete idea.

A New Beginning

Experiment with Ableton Live completed 17/01/13. Experiment included first use of compression and other handy tools on a software drum kit, as well as creating a variety of textures using multiple synth pads and topping it all off with some filter delay and grain delay on a return track.

Note: I think Soundcloud applied some data compression and now it sounds muddier than it did before, but I suppose that's my fault for trying to create too dense a mix.

Storm

Uncharacteristically bright piece with tom driven rhythms, the usual range of pads and a big sawtooth lead synth. Personally, it makes me think of Alpacas in the sun, hence the name.

Alpaca

An experiment in layering parts to create polyrhythms. Gets a bit messy. Also an attempt to make an "Energetic" piece of work.
