So a new song is out there!
While I'm still waiting for a new guitar that I ordered a long time ago, I thought to spent my time learning new synths... (I'm still a n00b in that field).

I first planned to make a song using the übercool LMMS only, but quickly switched to Reaper DAW (what else...) running on Linux.
I had a computer crash, tech and other problems and finally I didn't create the kind of song as I planned (as usual).
Near the end I couldn't resist to add a line with my old guitar, the urge was too big.
I hope you like the different parts of it. Find the whole song via your fav streaming platform & feel free to share it and add it to your playlist!

FYI, this time I used the free open source, cross-platform Odin2 synth from The Wave Warden and of course Hive from U-He (that goes without saying...)

"Émancipés du vide ?"
Est une réflexion mélancolique sur les gouffres émotionnels que l'humain entretient, sur la difficulté de nous extirper de nos attractions diverses vers le néant, nos incapacités à regarder les déchets mentaux que nous produisons sans passer par la case culpabilité, c'est une critique de la normalisation, du conformisme, du positivisme creux vanté par nos esprits trop marketés et en quête du chemin le plus rapide vers un Sens quel qu'il soit. L'illusion d'être libre dans un monde qui vante des platitudes érigées en valeurs censées incarner cette liberté et pourtant située à vingt mille lieues sous ce que pourrait être un début de chemin vers une liberté effective. Enfin, il symbolise la nécessité vitale de retrouver notre naïveté perdue et de réapprendre à voir le beau et à œuvrer en ce sens.

La grâce de la solitude ou l'anxiété sociale :
Premier morceau qui ouvrira l'album, traite de la difficulté d'évoluer dans le contexte du groupe social face à cet animal qui fonctionne bien trop souvent comme un inhibiteur d'individus et qui par les réflexes et stéréotypes qui conduisent ces groupes, et le consensus vers le médiocre que cette masse désire trop souvent, peuvent mettre très mal à l'aise une partie des humains qui se sentent bridés et inadaptés au fonctionnement de ces amas d'humains angoissants tant ils peuvent rapidement muer en usines à oppressions pour peu qu'une tête ose contourner certaines des coutumes en vigueur.

Il a était tourné globalement sur les hauteurs de Mirepoix (09)en complément nous avons quelques images de ce morceau joué lors des concerts à la ferme thuronis Alaigne (11) et au café associatif de Marquefave (31) en août 2024

La grâce de la solitude ou l'anxiété sociale - (VIDEO CLIP in description)

The initial melody could be famous, but I don't know who (where and when) composed it. It was the melody of the carillon (in the picture) that some friends gave to my daughter, who was just born. We sung (adding words) and played it for years, even and especially after the music box broke, not to forget it. 
The piece is dedicated to her, who is now 18. The melody of the music box is followed by some (very posed) arias representing the successive stages of her life, childhood and adolescence. The carillon's melody resumes at the end: because I am sure she still hears it, deep down, and that it accompanies her as life goes on.

The acoustic idea I presented to Mike to evolve was based on the idea of creating a Beatles meets The Doors vibe.
Magic Mike worked his wonderful skill ranges including his great harmonies and invited Axel on board to give it the Doorsey Hammond/Wurlitzer sound.
A massive thanks for their incredible contributions and for being just really good people. 
The second one from me & Mike on This Sound Society project.
Hopefully more planned for the future but I think Mike is far to popular as everyone wants a piece of him. The word prolific can’t even keep up with him !
His turn out of songs is truly remarkable so if you haven’t already listened to his music go and check him out under Mike Fox along with Axel Menningen. 
I hope you like it may be a bit of a grower for some but it’s just a fun quirky pop tune.

I am an university professor of history who enjoys playing (guitar and piano/keyboard) and composing: unpretentious, just for fun. As a consequence, the most of my recordings (made with KorgD8 / Audacity and also Reaper now, for MIDI and the Spitfire Audio sound libraries) are handcrafted and largely imperfect.
My stuff consists of old songs (all wrote in the past century; here are only those I have redone in these last years) and old and new instrumentals (usually in various versions, some of which are removed at some point because they're unlistenable). 
Thank you in any case for stopping here to listen to something; in the description area you can find often explanatory notes or lyrics translations.

Here I found a community of great musicians and songwriters and a lot of beautiful music to listen to; you can be sure that any liking, commenting or reposting by me is a consequence of careful listening to the tracks. Obviously, for this very reason, I am not interested in collecting free ‘likes’ without real listening. I will not answer any messages from possible promoters: the number of followers does not interest me in the slightest. 
By popular demand (well, exclusively my daughter's — she says it's the "cooler" platform), I'm finally starting to put some of my stuff on Spotify too...
