“...voci e parole sono delle linee...” E' il quarto “studio” per l'opera “Nanof”. Indico come studi una raccolta assolutamente svincolata, nell'idea esecutiva, dal corpo dell'opera stessa. Il lavoro è ispirato alla vicenda umana di Oreste Fernando Nannetti (1927-1994), realmente esistito ed internato in vari manicomi fin da giovanissimo e del suo “diario di pietra”, un graffito scavato, con la fibbia della sua “divisa” da paziente, nell'intonaco del muro del manicomio Ferri di Volterra, durante gli anni della sua permanenza.“Colonnello Astrale”, o “Ingegnere Minerario” o più semplicemente “NOF4” o “Nanof”, appunto, sono dei nomi che Nannetti si da nei racconti “tracciati” ne suo diario di pietra.  Il brano deve il suo titolo (come tutti i restanti lavori) ad un estratto del graffito di Nannetti. La voce del sax e la voce dell'esecutore si avvicinano, talvolta si sommano, senza che mai la voce umana possa uscire dallo strumento, intonarsi, chiarirsi, imporsi.  Rimane un'ombra, a tratti un'emulazione strumentale, riuscendo però solo ad assecondare le linee dello strumento. Nel sax tenore, per il suo registro e per varie possibilità timbricoesecutive, ho trovato lo strumento ideale per questo rapporto con la voce che “mai si fa voce, mai si fa parola”, ripensando a Nannetti e alla sua “voce negata” e al suo preferire lasciare parole graffiate nella pietra.

“...voci e parole sono delle linee...” it is the fourth Studio for the opera "Nanof". I indicate with the word Studio a collection that is absolutely free, in the executive idea, from the body of the opera itself. 
The work is inspired by the human story of Oreste Fernando Nannetti (1927-1994), who actually existed and interned in various asylums from a very young age and his "stone diary", a carved graffiti, with the buckle of his "uniform" as a patient, in the plaster of the wall of the Ferri asylum in Volterra, during the years of his stay. "Colonel Astral", or "Mining Engineer" or more simply "NOF4" or "Nanof", some of the titles in fact, are names that Nannetti gives himself in the stories "traced" in his stone diary. 
Also “...voci e parole sono delle linee...” owes its title (as all other works) to an extract from Nannetti's graffiti. The voice of the saxophone and the voice of the performer approach, sometimes they add up, without the human voice ever being able to leave the instrument, to tune in, to clarify, to impose itself. A shadow remains, at times an instrumental emulation, but only managing to accommodate the lines of the instrument. In the tenor sax, for its register and for various tonal-playing possibilities, I found the ideal instrument for this relationship with the voice that "never speaks, never speaks", thinking back to Nannetti and his "denied voice" and the his preferring to leave words scratched in stone.
