Il progetto “Illogic Trio” nasce nel Marzo 2011, dall’incontro di tre amici, Lucio D’Amato (piano), Luciano Napoli (basso) e Ugo Rodolico (batteria), dagli stili musicali e dalle energie diversi che fondendosi danno vita ad idee originali, spezzando i canoni della tradizione jazzistica e ricercando nuove forme di sviluppo musicale.
Attraverso la reinterpretazione delle sonorità più classiche, l’Illogic Trio crea costantemente atmosfere destabilizzanti, nelle quali melodie ed arrangiamenti trovano nell’illogicità la propria natura e nella contaminazione il proprio habitat naturale.
Abbandona i rompicapi musicali ed il loro clima freddo e distanziante, per giungere a situazioni calde e coinvolgenti, nelle quali melodie semplici s'infrangono contro le asprezze del jazz e dei ritmi più incisivi, da questo “melting pot” musicale nascono melodie pulite mai banali, capaci di suscitare emozioni nuove e visioni inaspettate.

The project “Illogic Trio” was born in March 2011, when three friends, Lucio D’Amato (piano), Luciano Napoli (bass) e Ugo Rodolico (drums), having distinct music styles and different verve decided to combine their features and create original ideas, breaking traditional jazz canons to seek out new forms of music developments.
Through its own interpretation of the most classic sonorities, it is constantly creating destabilizing atmospheres, whose melodies and arrangements discover their nature within illogicality and find their natural habitat into contamination.
Illogic Trio gives up the musical puzzles and their cold, distant climate to reach warm and engrossing situations in which simple melodies break against the roughness of jazz, against the most incisive rhythms. This "melting pot" of musical melodies gives rise to never trivial and clean melodies, which are able to arouse emotions and unexpected new visions.

"Michele Garruti is a London based composer and pianist as well as a producer. Originally from Italy, he has spent most of his life making music and finding inspiration working within and blurring lines between multiple music genres.  

Those familiar with Michele Garruti know of his skills for composing, which floats through a range a classical environment, minimalism, crossover and electronic mixed together to create an original vibe. Prior to his work as a full-time composer, Garruti played piano and keyboards in multiple pop-jazz-funky groups. To release his own works and soundtracks, he founded London based ‘Oracle Records’ in 2015 and his music can be found online via streaming services."
