Hi everyone, introduce you to the Extract series: music created during my live preformances. 

When performing Live I have a strong component of improvisation and control over midi sequencing, which leads to moments created spontaniously on stage that won't be replicable. Extract 01 corresponds to 5 minutes of my performance at Jardim Sonoro festival (2023), and to my interpretation this recording has a story to tell and lives by itself. Being also a DJ, the aim of the Extract series will be presenting music that can be played by DJ's, and I decided to release Extract 01 after playing it regularly (and naturally) on my sets. 

This is a vinyl only release (10") limited to 60 copies.

Sounds From NoWhere is pleased to premiere a new Allan Pillai' track remixed by Ma Haiping on 'Observant'.

Allan Pillai takes the helm for Observant’s 20th chapter with ”Perihelix”, an EP teeming with intricate, groove-laden originals that bridge the cerebral and the danceable. 
Hailing from Australia’s dynamic electronic scene, Pillai’s deft touch brings a unique depth to the catalog, emphasizing subtle complexity and rich textural layering.

“Korg Bleep” doubles down on the playful and mechanized, its resonant bleeps fluttering like coded transmissions over a framework of sharp, rattling percussion. 
The title track, ”Perihelix”, spins a web of cyclical synth patterns underpinned by a weighty yet agile low-end, deftly navigating between micro-fractured details and a steady, propulsive drive. 
”Tiede” offers a more full-bodied yet immersive voyage, where electric motifs pulse through a foggy atmosphere, weaving tension and release into a cohesive, energetic hallmark.

On remix duties, UK-based FLAWS infuses Tiede with an angular and gritty reinterpretation, speeding the original’s tempo while injecting percussive twists and steely resolve. 
From China, Ma Haiping reshapes Perihelix with an exploratory, oblique momentum that channels cosmic dissonance, moulding the sound with his innovative flair, yet keeping its forward thrust steady.

Premiere: Allan Pillai - Perihelix (Ma Haiping Remix) [Observant]

Oxygeno returns to his label Lost Verses with Pure Devotion, an EP that fuses hypnotic, raw, and relentless techno with a satirical and defiant critique of the Churchs values.

Side A opens with Soul Absorption, a track with a heavy low end, absorbing synths, and an atmosphere that plunges you into a deep abyss. Next comes Haunted, which takes the darkness further with a haunting, psychotic synth sequence and a heart-rending bassline that keeps you on your toes.

On the B-side, Infectious delves into shadowy territory with a modulated synth line that simulates something infectious and consuming. Finally, The Weight Of Guilt closes the EP with the heaviest and most aggressive track. Thunderous percussion and a crushing bassline capture the intensity and gravity reflected in its title.

Pure Devotion is a sonic journey designed for the dancefloor, where the body moves to the beat while the mind ponders and grapples with the ideas woven into each track.

NOTE: The artwork features two “nazarenos” from Spain’s Semana Santa, a traditional Easter procession. This has no relation to the KKK.
