“Delicate and Strong” is the honest representation of Michell Cuartas as a Colombian-American woman and artist. Music has always been a way for Michell to express herself, especially when it came to percussion. She started drumming as a young girl then transitioned that passion into DJing and production, but it wasn’t until recently that Michell opened up to sharing her music publicly. 



Michell’s sound is heavily influenced by UK garage, R&B, electronic & heavy metal; however, she doesn’t let any one genre keep her from experimenting and you can get a sense of that throughout “Delicate and Strong.” There’s a feminine touch on all the tracks but the drum and bass is what gives them strength. Like many in 2020, Michell lost someone near and dear to her and diving deep into the tracks was therapeutic. She says, “I want to put out what was coming out of me,” and this four-track electronica experiment is the result of that.
