There are so many spaces out there that aren't meant for us or don't understand us or simply don't want us but we have to continue to push beyond ourselves, up the ante and care for one another and make space for every queer person that walks into a space for now and even later.

Michell Cuartas is a Colombian-American woman, producer and artist. Music has always been a way for Michell to express herself, especially when it came to percussion. She started drumming as a young girl then transitioned that passion into DJing and production, but it wasn’t until recently that Michell opened up to sharing her music publicly. 

Michell’s sound is heavily influenced by UK garage, R&B, electronic & nu-metal; however, she doesn’t let any one genre keep her from experimenting and you can get a sense of that throughout “Delicate and Strong.” There’s a feminine touch on all the tracks but the drum and bass is what gives them strength.
