This the 2013 refresh of the J1 top of the hour..  The previous TOH on J1 was the Turbo Z cut 10 track with J1 sung on a vocoder.  TZ-10 is by far one of the most flexible jingles.  I had an extra end-sing done (J1 both sung and in sono) and I have been able to edit at least 35 different alternates as well as putting the vocals behind other jingle tracks.  Here's a pick of the originals and some of the alternates from the JAM distribution.  My future jingle buys for J1 (if I can ever afford it) will be either JAM Breakthrough or the TM Channel 4 AC package.

REC MegaConference never happened.  It was going to be a multi-line conference (party line) system.  The jingle was resung for a successful project, REC MegaCity.

Ignite Jingles KROC custom package for J1 Radio (J1 HITS).  Released Mar 31, 2022.  This package was sung in Dallas at TM Studios with the TM NEXT vocal group. 

This is the first ever Ignite Package that the TM NEXT vocal group has ever sung on.  They sound pretty close to the demo.  We are loving them herein Riverton.

Before there was Radio Disney, there was Radio AAHS.  Operated in the 1990s by Children's Broadcast Corporation.  Radio AAHS started in Minneapolis and expanded across the country.  The original format could be compared to K-9 Kid Power Radio for children 9 years and younger with shows like "Avenue A", "Alphabet Soup" and the "All American Alarm Clock", the station would re-brand itself and become AAHS World Radio to appeal more towards Tweens.  Disney's entry into radio killed Radio AAHS into bankruptcy.  CBC would eventually win litigation against the Mouse in order to pay off creditors.  Radio AAHS was fun when it was out there.  Radio can be fun.  It's a shame that the personality is gone.   Thanks to Bruce Barker who dug up these cuts, most of them from DAT (yes, someone still has a working DAT player).  Enjoy these cuts and remember when radio used to be fun.

This is the last JAM personal cut that we have purchased under the old price structure.  Jon allowed me to have Japanese lyrics put into a jingle.  The jingle's second line is J1はあなたが好き。 (J1 wa anata ga suki).. Which literally means J1 likes/loves you (in that non-romantic sort of way).  Hopefully, we will have more JAM jingles in the future (however, new TM cuts will be coming real soon!).  Thanks again Jon and the gang on Parkdale!

TM Studios - Channel 4 Hot AC - Full Package - J1

Image songs that will air on the four J1 networks starting in September, 2024. Each song, running about 2 minutes each, convey a marketing message to better connect to our listeners around the world. A random song will be selected and will played once per hour. For each lyric, there are two different versions. Songs will be produced in both English and Japanese.

The 49th and 50th image songs in each language for the J1 family will be exclusively for J1HD.

POWERPUFF-FM was operated by REC in the late 1990s and the early 2000s streaming "cartoon bits and anime hits".  It was the predecessor to Anime Hardcore Radio, which would eventually evolve into Hardcore J, which would eventually be renamed J1 Radio. JAM Breakthrough - Cut 1 for J1 Radio

On this montage, we will take you on a journey across Japan.  With one exception, we will start at the north in Hokkaido and travel south all the way to Okinawa.  

Unlike the US and the UK, there are not a lot of commercial broadcast stations in Japan. On average, each of the 47 prefectures has one FM and one AM station (there are some exceptions of course). There are also about 200+ 20-watt community stations.  Some stations have come to Dallas for cuts.  In the 1990s, Thompson Creative was very active in Japan and had a local sales person.  I believe that was brought over with Ben Freedman.  JAM had only a handful of stations and TM had big accounts at FM Yokohama as well as others scattered around.   Many cuts that Dallas companies delivered to Japanese stations were for the individual shows on the station and many times, the cut may not include the name of the station.

Please enjoy the diversity of cuts.  Note that many of them are recorded directly off the air.  There are not many hardcore collectors in Japan.  If you are willing to sift through it, there is a jingle site at https://radiomp31.jimdo.com - Note that this site is very messy, even by Japanese standards.  Anyway, enjoy the cuts!

JAM - Top News #15 for WNSR with morse identifier for translator

For the upcoming J1 20th Anniversary in 2021, J1 went to RadioJingles24 and ordered AC Cut #5.  The original version was turned around in less than 48 hours.  

In the original version, the tag vocal (the "J1" part) just did not properly capture the consistency of J1.  Honestly, writing cuts for two syllable station calls can be challenging.  I went back to RJ24 to explain the situation and they had the cut resung within a few hours.   This was amazing service for such an inexpensive jingle cut by comparison.

However, nothing that comes into REC/J1 goes to waste.  I took a very small portion of the original tag vocal from the first attempt and use it as an effect, sort of a backwards echo before the J1 tag vocal.  You will hear cuts both with and without this effect.

The first three cuts were what was delivered from RJ24 (on the resing) and then the remaining 21 cuts are variants of the same Cut 5 done in typical Michi Bradley fashion. 

When RJ24 says that they will correct any issues, they mean it!
