The first golden leaves are touching ground, your melancholy sponge sucks in the last drops of summertime sadness and gets ready to sprinkle them all over the slowly arriving autumn.

But wait a second. 

No one is turning off summer just like that. Miriamore quickly went down to her magic basement and came back smiling mischievously. - Why? - you may be asking. - Well look closer - I say. 
In her hands she holds one last bottle of the good stuff. That delicious sunshine juice. 
It’s a big one and of course she’s willing to share!

Who needs glasses, just open your mouth, take a sip and then let’s wiggle until the last leaf has fallen as well. Or at least until your feet won’t carry you any more. And then dream of all the summers past.

For the third instalment of our mix series we have a slice of peak time terrace fun, with 90 minutes of Pedestrian's set from our 7th birthday party in December.

Pedestrian is not someone who sticks to one genre, preferring to weave between many styles, all with plenty of UK flavour. Having played on the terrace many times, he knows what works and how to make that signature Pedestrian sound sing through the speakers.

Die Vögel are back.
Almost two years after their sensational debut release‚ Blaue Moschee, the arena rocking EP that’s still a permanent fixture in Sven Väth’s record bag, Die Vögel have laid another milestone in the history of club music - the Fratzengulasch EP.
Ground breaking, surreal and captivatingly timeless, this dance music doesn’t give a damn about the laws of gravity and the monotony of everyday routines. 

For some reason or another, there seems to be a sort of restricting fence around the electronic dance music scene at the moment. In true Trojan style, Die Vögel batter and ram the wall until a hole appears; a hole big enough for all the gleely squealing party people to crawl through. Out and on to freedom! It’s a brave new world and help is at hand for the weary of ear. Listen in to the dream-like canons, freely dissonant brass orchestrations and hypnotic-psychedelic beats.

The arrangements are clever, without relying on samples and tried and tested techniques. Off they stroll, Mense Reents and Jakobus Siebels, breathing in the fresh air, enjoying a clear view of a history of nocturnal dance music that goes back beyond 1986 and Chicago and is today international electronic folklore.
It was the machines that taught Die Vögel duo to play their instruments in a different way and from them the machines have learned what makes a musician tick.

That’s how songs like ‚Fratzengulasch’ come about: A tribal meditation, and a beautiful canon sung by Jakobus and Ebba Durstewitz, otherwise known as the band Ja König Ja.

Or the glorious ‚Maikäferbenzin’: There are sub binaural sounds on this track that get your brain hemispheres swinging in perfect synchronicity, on a frequency generally only experienced when in a trance. And there they’re left, swinging away until the last third of the song where an abrupt saxophone break briefly interrupts, only to deliver the listener safely back into an absolute state of bliss and felicity.

Mense and Jakobus’ brilliant Pantha du Prince remix got people wondering but even before that the question cropped up: what is this music?
DJ Koze calls it ‚Sect Funk’.
We say: Pampa style in its purest form!

Personal expression or expectation? We've got you!  No one loves music like Karmerr loves music.

The link between new spice and transformation is the secret handshake of Episode 24, as we are joined by **Karmerr**. As we are given the chance to enjoy all things pop and electronic while still dancing to the 4/4 we love here and there. 

Government name Chelsea, from Jozi. Over the last two years, she has contributed to the promotion of music and safe spaces in Jozi. This has been seen through countless performances week-in and week-out, her passion shines through in every delivery. Parental Guidance is grateful for her participation this week as we take a step toward deeper and more thought-provoking sounds.

With a blend of pop bangers and deep house melodies, supported by Akira Rae and Jessie Bru for the opening credits, introspection and depth have been the defining qualities of this mix. The charm here lies in the intentional track selection, with deviations from the norm, allowing us to hear a blend of favorites like **MGMT**, creating music we can identify with and enjoy. As cliché as it is, a throwback to when commercial music was good never hurt anyone!

As electro meets house and contemporary styles, there are fun-filled moments that feel timeless. The horns and bleeps from the likes of **Timo Maas** provide a strong sense of individualism—a reminder to make things personal, even when life gets busy. There's a sway and swing in every song, offering the opportunity to move, even just a little.

With great thanks and support, Episode 24 marks an important moment on our 2024 road trip!

Outis Podcast Series 015 

Surt is a project conceived by the mind of a young italian producer who started developing his sound a few years ago.
His interest in music dates back to his childhood when his father decided that learning to play the piano was the best choice for him to start his journey.
During his adolescence he worked as a dj around his hometown, but at some point he understood that producing and playing his own music was the way to fully express himself.
He debuted last year with his first EP on Northallsen Records. Soon after he followed it up with a second EP on the same label and then his latest EP on Deepbass’ Informa Records called Quadripartita Ratio, a mapping of literary concepts with introspective soundscapes.
His sonorities are characterised by clean solid basslines mixed with a fine sound design and dreamy, sometimes melancholic, backgrounds.
