Michelle Manetti Threads Radio Show 09-11-2023

Dick and Fanny is one of East London’s most prestigious and well respected queer nights, a quarterly party that has played host to some of the scenes most revered DJ’s from all over the world, the likes of Maya Jane Coles, Kim Ann Foxman, Hannah Holland, Severino, Warboy, Dan Beaumont, Jim Stanton, Discodromo, Lauren Flax, Virginia, Kim Anh, DJ Sveta, Jerry Bouthier, Honey Dijon, Dactylo, The Lovely Jonjo, Susanne Bartsch, Duchess Of Pork, Hello Mozart & Holestar among many have graced the decks over the last 5 years.

Launching on Oct 10th 2009 Dick and fanny’s has moved home a few times, In the beginning it set up shop at the Star of Bethnal Green, moving on to Camp basement when it outgrew it’s birthplace, then when Camp shut the doors for demolition D&F moved to the Shacklewell Arms for several parties before landing at Dance Tunnel it’s final destination.  Saturday October 4th, celebrates Dick & Fannys 5th birthday but will also very sadly be the final party, so seems fitting that it returns for one last time to it’s birthplace The Star Of Bethnal Green.

Michelle has played a number of the Dick and Fanny parties over the years and is honored to have been asked to DJ at the final closing party, she will join Lauren Flax, House of Shade and The Lovely Jonjo to ensure Dick and Fanny goes out with a bang and ends on a high.

As well as being a promoter (Manetti recently launched FAE two weeks ago - a Sunday day party for queers featuring an all star lineup including BASHKKA and Angel D'lite)  Michelle is also a well respected DJ and producer in her own right, a stalwart of the East London scene With over 20 years of DJ-ing under her belt, it's safe to say she's no novice to the decks, with the passion, skill, panache and record collection of a well-established and well-refined DJ.
