In "The Walkabout" I imagined what a soundscape for a traditional Australian Aboriginal's long walking journey through the wilderness, in both a physical sense and a spiritual one, might sound like. I created a nocturnal ambience for the opening with the sounds of crickets and my didgeridoo and from there the piece awakens to a musically rich journey, exploring textures that are more like landscapes. Soon little melodic phrases guide the listener to an eventual unfolding into a beautiful moment of arrival in the joining of acoustic guitar, indigenous flute, and didgeridoo.

Silver Chord refers to the silver cord or thread of life referenced in spiritual and metaphysical practices, where it is believed to energetically link our physical being to our higher self. Each floating and ethereal track was created from the concept of how sound, in the form of music, connects us to something beyond us - something much higher than ourselves.

Each Good Rain

The album Harmonic Dreams evolved from the live music events termed as my Harmonic Sound Immersion™  experiences and I chose a few core ideas to create this 4 track EP. Each piece features an instrument integral to my sound baths, performed and recorded for each unique, evolving soundscape. 

Face of Things features my Music as Metaphor™ branded singing bowls; As Above juxtaposes Koshy chimes with electronic ones; September Rain features an indigenous flute; and Light Years Away utilizes her gong. The resulting album however differs from the HSI experience in that it is less subtle and whispered; more vibrant and energized. The beautiful art work is based on a painting by Rebecca Ruegger titled Shallow Water. Harmonic Dreams is published by Music as Metaphor.

What We Heard

Featuring acoustic guitars with layered voices that explore timbres and moods, with moments of density and space. There is a light touch of distant music pads supporting the shape of the piece and adding to the emotional intrigue. The title Open Window suggests an opportunity for a deeper level of self reflection.
