Alex Bleumer (1983) produceert vanaf zijn Zwolse zolderkamer zijn eigen nummers. Zijn werk publiceert hij digitaal. Sinds 2015 werkt hij samen met gitarist Michiel Papenhove (Within Temptation, Barton Dean) in de metal/ska/rapformatie Net Niet. Daarvan verschenen tot dusverre 6 digitale singles. Ook was hun muziek te horen in de campagnevideo van de Piratenpartij.

The idea for this track was to create something simple in the famous Egyptian Hijaz scale. But after seeing enough documentaries about how the pyramids where probably built by a way-older-than-the pharaohs-culture I decided to give it a slightly different, more mysterious sound.

The Pyramid Prophecy

This track musically tells the story of Amun, a young fisherman who lived along the Nile and someday decided to search for the scarab of Eth. The scarab was an artifact known to harness the power of the god Eth. Amun knew the stories and followed the clues to eventually find the artifact, hidden in a tomb deep beneath the Gizeh pyramid. When he held the scarab the power of Eth flowed through him and he became Amuneth: half man, half god.

a multi-layered concept to which anyone relates

I lose myself in theory
detail and technicality
endless possibility 
kills my creativity
and although my end rhymes are strong
what good is a half-written song? 

Should I rearrange
this motif, should I change
violins to saxophone
melodious to monotone?

And I still have to decide
acoustic or amplified?
Questions scream in stereo
no wonder this is moving slow
