So, five days before I'm due to appear at the biggest Old School event ever held in Scotland....I get Covid! Yeah, gutted doesn't even begin to describe how I felt. I put so much work into planning my set that rather than go to waste I decided to record it for you to hear what I had in store. This is an extended mix, the set would have been whittled down a bit to fit in the 1 hour slot but as I don't have that restriction here I decided to give you a 32 track Old School blast. Covering tracks from 1991-1993 I have tried to fit in a little bit of everything. As I was due to be on quite early, the tempo is low going from 130bpm up to 140bpm. Anyway, I enjoyed putting this together but I just wish I had the chance to perform it at the event, hope you like it!

Stepco makes his QRUK debut with Check The Wrist, a tough Electro club tool that brings a darker, more minimal flavour to the label. Known for his roots in the South Wales House and Techno scene, the Swansea-based producer has turned heads with two large and in charge releases on Get Physical. This latest cut sees him lean into the more dark UK sound, keeping things stripped and rolling with crisp drums and chopped up vocals.

On remix duties is the QRUK regular Kabo Cana, who flips the title track into a faster club-ready stepper. It's a big follow-up to his standout QRUK debut I DONT UNDERSTAND, and comes ahead of another remix from him on the Nagasaki EP with James Young.

DJ BLITZ FANTAZIA 2 STEPS BEYOND 1992-93 VINYL MIX

I'm not sure which one this was, because Carl Cox played at a few Rezerection raves in Edinburgh in 92, but if it was the famous 'Castle' one in May, then i was at that party with 5000 other lunatics. It sounds very familiar so i have a feeling that it's the same one.
Amazing DJ is Carl Cox! Even then, he was at the top of his game. He used to be nicknamed 'The 3-deck Wizard' because he was one of the first to do that. 
When he first came to KL to play Movement Club in 2000, he had lost none of his passion. A typical image of Coxy DJing is this huge hulk of a black guy swaying and bopping and dancing all over the shop behind the decks. Sweating profusely every time!
Always enjoying himself as much, if not more than the crowd who are going bananas to his music!
He plays a totally different style now, but back in the day he was one of my favourites.
Watch out for a classic Grooverider mix that i will upload on here soon!
