This track reflects the emergent properties of music production as I experience it, and the notion that to create is to both discover and to make choices. Those choices are the Option.

Option

Micki-Lee Smith is Canadian musician and multimedia creator. Her training as a classical violinist and experiences with fiddle and jazz music, have led her to have an eclectic taste in music which is reflected in her compositions.
Micki’s first solo EP Indigo, April 2021, is melodic driven and bursting with color, inspired by her experiences while living in Vancouver. Her latest release Shattered Glass 2022 is a testament to the struggles youth have faced throughout the pandemic. This work features musicians from across the country, and blends real and synthesized sounds together to create an emotional and moody vibe.
Micki currently resides in downtown Toronto where she is working towards a masters in Music Technology and Digital Media at UofT.
