The Downturn Soil

Perkie and Micky Dey have been a DIY touring team for the last three years, so it seemed only natural that they'd begin performing and releasing music together. Whether it's the soul-searching, heart wrenching ballad, 'Fool', or the Blackbird-esque introspective 'The Late Night Wonderer', this split hears the pair perfectly blending their unique musical singer-songwriter styles.

I was on tour in Germany last month, and we caught the audio from our show at Wp8 in Dusseldorf. It was a really beautiful evening, and I thought I'd dig out this old tune.

Roam (Live in Düsseldorf)

I'm a solo musician based up in Bradford, but recently returned from 3 years living in the capital. I'm not a fan of having a page dedicated solely to myself, but I'm pretty sure my friends on Facebook who aren't bothered about the things I have to say about myself (I know right?) would prefer it if I shifted it all to one place.

This year I brought out my first record, 'Roam', a 6-track EP about the highs and lows of living in London. It's got all the instruments on it that I know how to play, and was produced by Luke Yates at Small World Music Services. You can hear it here: www.mickydey.bandcamp.com
