Featuring James on the guitars bass and Vocal and the almighty Azzmatron Pickering carving on the drums. Probably one of my favorite riffs it adjusts really well in all octaves both clean and distorted, and the vocal melody has a nice repetitive hook that ties in closely, but not too closely with the guitar and bass melody. Azza's drums are subtle but dynamic, enabling the music rather than overcomplicating things.
This song is really about isolation, being the "out crowd", "there's something not right about that boy" and how differently some people behave towards you depending on what you can do for them....
This song always makes me think of my best mate Azza and how he helped me through some unbelievably rough time...
